Update: Japanese Scotched egg had cheese and also did not taste like real Scotched egg.
This chicken, however, was excellent, especially with the sesame-and-brown-sauce dipping sauce for which I was expected to grind the sesame myself.
I didn’t touch the cabbage, but every one of our ten German table mates inhaled theirs.
